Family Program: Relief Printmaking with Hatch Show Print

Friday, October 19, 2018 - 10:00am

Also available at 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM.

Learn about relief printmaking, and make your own print to take home. In this workshop, participants will learn about positive and negative space, mirror image, and color layering by arranging a unique typeface called alphablox. After creating a design of letters, patterns or shapes, aspiring printmakers will ink their design with a brayer and print it on a sign press to reveal the art. Educator artists from Hatch Show Print will be on hand to lend guidance and expertise. Ages 5 and up. Taylor Swift Education Center. Included with museum admission. Free to museum members.

Presented in support of Tennessee STEAM Festival. For details, visit www.tnsteam.org.
