Plan a Field Trip
Curriculum-based school programs and tours for groups of ten or more students are scheduled Monday through Friday. Reservations must be made by a teacher or a school representative, and are required at least one month in advance; six weeks in advance for Words & Music. Please note that all programs have a minimum and maximum number of firstname.lastname@example.org, 615-416-2084, or book online. After the Museum receives a school group reservation request, you will be contacted to confirm a date.

Arts Access Fund
The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s Arts Access Fund subsidizes the cost of field trips to the museum and fees for distance learning programs for K-12 schools with demonstrated need. Subsidies are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, as funds are available, with priority given to Title I schools. Please see the Arts Access Fund Application for eligibility details and to apply for funding.
Financial assistance may also be available through the Tennessee Arts Commission’s Student Ticket Subsidy, which supports artist fees, tickets, and transportation so that Tennessee public school students can experience a broad variety of cultural opportunities, arts disciplines, and artists. A minimum of one adult chaperone and a maximum of two adult chaperones per every ten students is required for all school programs. Additional chaperones may attend by purchasing adult general admission. Students are divided into small groups for museum tours, and chaperones must remain with the groups at all times. It is the responsibility of the chaperones to maintain orderly student behavior and to assist the tour guide.

What is the price of admission for school groups?
Admission varies by school type and location. Metropolitan Nashville Public School students receive free admission for group visits. Payment can be made in advance or on the day of the visit.
How many students can we bring?

Where should the bus driver park?
Bus parking is available in front of the museum on a first-come, first-served basis. Once these spots are taken, bus drivers will be given a permit to park a few blocks away from the museum. For Historic RCA Studio B parking information, please contact the school programs manager.
Where should cars park?
There are several paid lots located around the Museum. The Music City Center and the Hilton Hotel are both across the street from the Museum and offer paid parking. Visit ParkItDowntown.com for additional options.
What types of tours do you offer?
The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum offers several tour options and accompanying programs. Teachers should select the program that is most appropriate for their students. For a full list of programs, click here.
How long does the tour last?
Tours and programs range in length from ninety minutes to two and a half hours. For information on specific programs, click here.
Can we bring cameras?
You may take pictures, but must turn off the flash while in the exhibit. Video is not permitted in the galleries.

Do you have any opportunities for professional development? How much does it cost?
Free professional development workshops assist teachers in preparing students for participating in our various school programs. Most workshops are scheduled on weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. For more information or to make a reservation, contact the school programs manager.
