Essential to the museum’s success, volunteers contribute valuable skills and knowledge to the world’s largest popular music museum. From greeting visitors to assisting with programs to supporting behind-the-scenes, volunteers are an integral part of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s success. Whatever your interests and background, there are volunteer opportunities available that match your skills.

School Program Tour Guides*
Tour guides provide small-group tours to students visiting the museum with their school classes. Tours occur on weekdays, usually in the mornings. Potential tour guides should enjoy working with youth, have excellent communication skills, be dependable, and be able to lead a lively, interactive discussion.

Guest Relations volunteers provide assistance to museum guests at various locations, including: the Demonbreun Street entrance, Hall of Fame Rotunda, elevators, and galleries. Guest relations volunteers welcome museum visitors, answer questions and provide friendly assistance throughout their museum experience, and provide a unique brand of hospitality to ensure a memorable experience for each visitor. Potential Guest Relations volunteers should have excellent communication skills, enjoy interacting with new people, and be friendly and outgoing.
Public Program volunteers support the museum’s programs for museum visitors, including weekly Songwriter Sessions, Musician Spotlights, and more. Responsibilities include sharing program details with guests, ushering, and more. Potential Public Programs volunteers should have excellent communication skills, be outgoing and friendly, and enjoy meeting new people and working with members of the public. Most programs take place in the museum's Ford Theater.
Youth and Family Programs
Youth and Family Programs volunteers help youth and families learn about country music, past and present, through interactive and engaging programs and initiatives. Responsibilities may include assisting museum educators with: instrument and songwriting workshops, preschool song and story time, art-making activities, and more. Potential Youth and Family Programs volunteers should have excellent communication skills, be outgoing and friendly, and enjoy working with youth and families. Some volunteer opportunities require long periods of walking and / or standing. Most programs take place in the museum's Taylor Swift Education Center.
Collections / Archival**
Limited opportunities are available for experienced volunteers to work with curatorial staff on special projects. Potential Collections / Archival volunteers should have prior experience in related fields, such as historic preservation, film and audio preservation, or research. They should be detail-oriented and able to work independently on a project.

Clerical volunteers assist with data entry, mailings, filing, and other special projects in all areas of the museum, including: the library, Hatch Show Print, and other administrative departments. Most of these opportunities take place between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on weekdays. Potential clerical volunteers should be detail-oriented, be able to work independently on a project, and have a professional work ethic.
